In 1992, Global Steel was established as a supplier of flame cut gear rack and parts to the oil & gas, petrochemical, and mining industries. Since that time, the company has produced over hundreds of miles of flame cut gear rack for jackup rigs and liftboats. Due to a lack of resources available in the world to supply heavy formed chords in high-strength steel, Jackrabbit Steel was established in 2006.

 

Jackup Structures Alliance was established in 2007 as a single entity to gather the resources from the Group of companies and manage complex projects for jackup rig builders and owners.

 

JSA Global Middle East & Asia Pacific was established in 2010, and by virtue of its experienced staff and extensive contacts with the various mills, does have an edge to source and supply the complete package of steel required for the project in a professional and timely manner, ensuring mechanical & chemical compliance to meet the specifications as per designs and eliminating the risk factor potentially exposed with dependence on various suppliers. JSA's scope of supply will include the Racks & Chords, Seamless Bracings, Pipes, Sections and Plates that may be required during the course of the fabrication schedule.
